You need to have friends that are in the same stage of life that you are in whether you are a student, a single mom, a married mother, a coach, etc. It’s so important for your sanity. You need to be able to vent and talk to others who share the same experiences and lifestyle as you do.
As I’ve said before, my husband and I live far from our families and it can get hard at times. Thank God for friends that can carry you along the way. I have a special friend who shares my faith in God and is a married mother of two precious children. We meet often, normally every Tuesday, for a play date. Her daughter just turned two years old and mine will be two in March. Her son is brand new. He is a few weeks old. I am pregnant with our second child.
It’s just refreshing to talk to an adult that knows what your life is like. You can go to that person for advice, give advice, or just share a funny story. It’s a reciprocal relationship where everyone wishes to see the other doing well in life. So I would suggest that you put yourself out there and pray for God to send you good friends that can help you through your life’s journey if you don’t have good friends. If you do have great friends, be sure to show your appreciation to them because it can be hard to find good friends. I’ve had only a handful of close friends over my lifetime. Most I’ve known for a number of years, while others are newer to my life.
If you have an important friend be sure to tell them you love them and appreciate them. Share your friendship stories below. Have a blessed day!
